These needles are far superior to other cheaper brands. Although there are times I do prefer a bamboo needle (for instance if I’m knitting with a super slippery yarn – and Addi has those too), by and large I like the lace tip needles the best. Addi also has a turbo needle that is nice but I find that the pointier lace needles are the best for more intricate work, or when I’m knitting with 2 strands of yarn. Both the turbo and the lace needles can be a little slippery but it’s not a problem once you get the hang of it. The lace pointy tips do take a little bit to get used to, but again, so much more maneuverable. I had tried the bamboo Addi first, really liked them, so decided to try the turbo, really liked them, then got all lace. I find that I use the lace almost exclusively now. The “joints” on the Addi are so much smoother than other brands I’ve tried. I only converted to circular needles this year and now I wonder why I would EVER go back to straight needles!
