- I only needed the brass connectors. The plastic ones that come with the original set are cheap, terrible and leak. The plastic connector to the faucet itself leaked and popped off of the thread at the slightest bump.I did a partial water change on my 55gal and it didn’t leak and didn’t lose any of it’s vacuum pressure because of a poor connection.I highly recommend the brass fittings. They should be standard equipment for the original Hygger HG-966 water changing system.
