We’ll cover the fundamentals, including reading a foundation pattern, fabric placement, sewing on the foundation paper, trimming, and assembling your finished block. Whether you’re new to foundation paper piecing or looking to build confidence with the technique, you’ll leave with the skills and knowledge to tackle a wide variety of paper pieced projects. Skill Level: Beginner (no FPP experience needed) Supply List Required Pattern Material Woven Star Quilt Block Foundation Paper (8″ block pad) Available in-store — required for class Fabric Assorted quilting cotton: Light fabrics: 1 print – 3 yards Medium/dark fabrics: 8 prints prints (for star points and contrast) ¼ yard yard of each Thread Thread in a neutral color (gray, beige, or cream recommended) Tools Sewing machine in good working order with a straight stitch Rotary cutter Add-A-Quarter ruler Small cutting mat Fabric scissors (for trimming paper piecing sections) Fabric glue stick Seam ripper (FPP is precise work—mistakes happen!) Pins or small wonder clips (optional but helpful) Pressing Tools Small iron and pressing mat (highly recommended) Optional: wooden seam roller for quick pressing between seams Marking & Prep Pencil or fine-point pen (for labeling sections if needed) NOTES: **THIS EVENT IS AGES 18 ONLY**
