Take the next step in your bag making journey with this fun beginner class! We’ll build on techniques introduced in the previous session, but if you weren’t able to attend, don’t worry, you’ll quickly get up to speed and still complete your bag! In this class, you’ll create a stylish tote featuring a zippered pocket and a magnetic snap closure while learning new skills to take your bag making to the next level. Supply List Pattern Included in the class Exterior Fabric ½ yard (44” wide) Recommended fabrics: Bonded poly-nylon, canvas, quilting cotton Lining Fabric ¾ yard (44” wide) Recommended fabrics: Water-resistant canvas, quilting cotton Interfacing & Structure For cotton & canvas ½ yard of Pellon 809 – Decor Bond 1 yard of Pellon SF101 ** If you are using bonded poly-nylon and water resistant canvas you do not need to interface those. ** Hardware 18mm magnetic snap 9” of zipper tape with 1 zipper pull Straps 60” of webbing (either 25mm or 38mm) OR ¼ yard of cotton or canvas and ½ yard of Pellon SF101 Thread & Notions Coordinating all-purpose thread Clips or pins Marking tool Seam Ripper Rotary Cutter Fabric scissors Ruler (at least 9” in length) Tools Sewing machine in good working order (bringing your manual along is always helpful) Zipper foot for your sewing machine NOTES: **THIS EVENT IS AGES 18 ONLY**
